Peter Wilson is the owner and C.F.I. of Air Escape. He is also CFI of Byron Bay Microlights and Snowy River Aviators.

Peter started flying hang gliders in 1982 and began his professional flying career in 1991. Over 25 years he has amassed about 7,500 hours flying experience.

He has been Chief Flying Instructor with the Hang Gliding Federation of Australia and Chief Flying Instructor with the Australian Ultralight Federation (Recreational Aviation Australia).

Peter has taught flying in the Peoples Republic of China, Israel. Indonesia and the USA.

Air Escape has been based in Tumut for 17 years and has taught, trained & converted hundreds of pilots regardless of age, size, gender or experience.

We have taught students with no previous experience at all, General Aviation pilots experienced in flying light aircraft like Cessnas and Pipers – even jet and helicopter pilots – and experienced hang-gliding pilots.

Air Escape has now opened a new centre at Bankstown Airport to serve the thousands of people in the Sydney region who dream of the ultimate freedom that only powered microlight and ultralight flight can fulfill.
